It occurs to me that I spend almost no time trying to persuade people to listen to Marc Maron, despite the fact that I consume roughly an hour of Marc Maron show every single weekday, which far outstrips any other first-run media consumption on my part. Not sure what the basis of my affection is; may have something to do with the fact that, normally, progressive/activist humor isn’t very funny (it’s a humorless crowd), but Maron and Jim Earl are very, very funny, without undercutting their message (as with Daily Show, not that I don’t love Daily Show).
